You are so right, it...I am humbled by your welcome. You are so right, it is difficult to judge whether a song or a skill will ever come in handy down the road. Like the saying, "now I wish I hadn't slept through THAT class." I only regret not being a famous person so this little story would have more "heft." If a student has ever remembered, "I saw this huge orchestra, they were awesome, and they were the New Britain Symphony Orchestra," you can know your actions just keep on giving. Not only do you write wit...Michael, you humble me!! Not only do you write with such enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge, but you include a memory of that special song to us, "Tamale Joe", learned 47 years ago. Seeing you, yesterday, 47 years, later, working together, (although that had not been forseen for the concert, but interestingly enough shows that we receive training that we might not ever imagine would be useful to someone like your elementary school music teacher, at the drop of a hat.......47 years fastforwarded).<br />New Britain was a better place with you returning, yesterday. You brought so much joy and so much help. So glad you got the chance to sit in with Sam and the guys. Thank you for being you, my dear, former student of Stanley Holmes School!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
